 Research Idea Two

How to make fake blood and fake bruises

Fake Blood:

what i want to achieve when it comes to creating this fake blood is a form that is not identical of real blood but more thin and liquidy substance that with fit in the actor mouth without struggle and have it be not disgusting do the actor can hold in in their mouth for a while and multiple time without it taking away from their acting. there is the common use of ketchup in replacement of blood but it is not the colour or texture that i would want to achieve even when its mixed with water. Another reasons i want the fake blood this way is so that it is picked up on camera and adds to a more dramatic effect as it will spray more and spread and travel further.

How to do this:

for a edible realistic fake blood look i looked for a recipe for it and found many articles focus on halloween and i found a couple that i believe offer good results for what i want and i have listed them below instead of writing them as they contain more detail that is necessary to know.

I will try out and practice each one to know which fits my idea best so that i can achieve the best results.

Fake Bruises:

Fake Bruises can is much easier to achieve than the blood as it can be done with makeup with some techniques. the bruises need to look as realistic as possible as there is multiple close ups and if the make up is not good then it will come across slightly tacky. all of the resources needed for these bruises are everyday make up product that can be easily found so all that is needed is the right method. This is done by the layering of different tone of dark reds/purples/yellows to create the right shade of a bruise that has aged. when it comes to applying this routine to our opening i will put on a couple bruises 4-5 maybe 2 on his face and others on his arms so that you can get the sense that he has been there a while as dark bruises do not just form immediately. As i just noted they do not just form dark there is a part in our opening when a man is getting punch and followed with a close up of his face, but as he was only just punched i would as a more rosey and pink areas around his face. To create even more of a beat up face i might include the use of lip pumper and some blue/purple/pink make up on the lip to create the look of a swollen or infected lip.
here is a useful source for creating this makeup:
